It’s hard to have a conversation about higher education without broaching the topic of money.
And rightfully so. Why? Because college is expensive.
According to College Board data, tuition at a public, in-state school now costs an average of $,9,410 per year. One year of tuition at a public, four-year out-of-state school, on the other hand, costs approximately $23,893. Tack on changing majors, attending graduate school, transferring colleges, and dropping a class here and there, and the amount you’ll pay for higher education will grow fast.
